Sports and Arts Camps
We are hosting a variety of sport and art camps this summer! Below you will find the description of each camp we have to offer!

Community Reach Camp:
What is a better way to serve the community than to attend the YMCA Community Reach Camp? This Camp aims to provide different volunteer opportunities for your child to experience, and learn how to act on our YMCA Character Value of Responsibility. Each week Campers will work with multiple community organizations to help with locations that will range from food banks, park clean-up, humane society help and more! The camp will meet at the Wapakoneta Family YMCA and we will transport Campers to the locations.

Sports Camps:
Not sure what sport your child will be interested in? Why not try all of the sports this summer at Sports Camp. Your Camper will try soccer, volleyball, archery, folf, floor hockey and our new addition-Pickleball! Each day will be dedicated to a different sport with different drills, activities, and games.

Environmental Camps:
Does your child love the outdoors? Every day is different when it involves getting dirty, exploring nature and doing some fun outdoorsy crafts! Campers will travel to local parks, meet with some of our favorite naturalists, go birdwatching, dragonfly catching and hiking. This camp is provided at a reduced cost due to the generous support of Nutrien Lima.

Our vibrant summer art class invites, budding Picassos to unleash their inner artist with a whirlwind of colors, shapes and boundless inspiration. Join our passionate instructor in sessions filled with laughter, discovery, and endless artistic expressions!

Around The World Camp:
Get your passports ready for this epic adventure! Do you have a little explorer that is curious about different cultures, authentic food, language and traditions! Hop on a flight and fly your little explorer to Travel Camp! Each day we will travel to many different countries to eat ethnic foods, make crafts, play games and speak to friends around the world!

Crime Scene Investigation:
Want to be a detective and solve crimes? Want ot learn how to set up your own escape room? Your camper will be learning what clues that need to be collected to solve a crime. Campers will talk with local detective, go behind the scene at a local escape room, solve clues to escape from a room and design their own escape room.

Photography Camp:
Want to learn about how to take great pictures? Why not try the Photography Camp Don't own a camera? No Problem! Bring your cell phone with you and be taught how to use settings, lighting, and filters to take even better pictures. Campers will take nature picture, pictures in town and around the Y. Campers will also make their own portfolios of pictures and have them displayed.
