The Wapakoneta Family YMCA is excited to introduce the Redskin Hot Shots Basketball.
Our Redskin Hot Shots program is a premier youth basketball initiative designed to ignite the love for basketball in young athletes while promoting character development and a healthy, active lifestyle. We bring an exciting and enriching basketball experience to our community. We cater to aspiring basketball players of all skill levels in grades Pre-K through 8th. Through dynamic coaching and engaging practice sessions, our participants learn the fundamentals of the game, hone their skills, and develop a strong sense of teamwork. We believe in fostering not only athletic abilities but also values such as sportsmanship, leadership, and respect for others.
Fundamentals and Fun: Our Redskin Hot Shots program introduces the core principles of basketball through engaging and enjoyable activities. From mastering dribbling techniques to developing teamwork skills, we lay the foundation for your child's basketball passion.
Skill Development: Our skilled coaches lead practices that focus on age-appropriate skill enhancement. As your child progresses, their confidence and competence in the game will soar.
Character Building: Beyond the game, we emphasize character education. Your child will learn values like sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork – qualities that shape them both as players and individuals.

Saturday Morning League Games:
As a key highlight of our program, Saturday mornings come alive with league games. Your child will have the chance to put their skills into action, compete with fellow Redskin Hot Shots players, and experience the joy of teamwork and friendly competition. Find the schedule for these listed below!
Parent Information:
Parents are expected to review and sign the Parent Handbook as well the Lindsay's Law informational sheet and return both to their child's coach by the first practice.
