Elementary Night Out
On Saturday,March 14, 2026 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, the Wapakoneta Family YMCA will host an Elementary Night Out! Please join us for an awesome night of fun! The doors open at 5:45 pm. Your child will be put in. a rotational group to play DODGE BALL, MINUTE TO WIN IT GAMES, CRAFT, DRINKS & PIZZA will be provided. We will clean up at 8:45pm and the students will depart at 9:00pm. Students from all schools are welcome; They must be in Kindergarten- 4th grade.

Teen Night Out
On Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 6:00pm-10pm, the Wapakoneta Family YMCA will host a Teen Night Ou! Please join us for an awesome night of fun! the doors open at 5:45pm. Some activities include gym games, rock wall and minute to win it games. DRINKS & PIZZA will be provided. We will clean up at 9:45pm and the students will depart at 10:00pm. Students from all schools are welcome; They must be in 5th-8th grade.

Messy Art
Get ready to splatter, squish, and create! Messy Art invites kids to explore their creativity using paint, glue, clay, and other fun materials through hands-on art projects. This class focuses on process over perfection, encouraging imagination, sensory play, and self-expression in a fun, supportive environment—mess and allwhile creating their very own masterpiece.! Why make the mess at home make it at the Y.

STEM

Books and Cooks
Children and their grown ups will connect and engage through stories and food. Each class begins with a story, read by one of our instructors, followed by a recipe that matches the story. Junior Chef - Youth Cooking Classes
Our Educational Kitchen becomes a hub of culinary exploration. Led by skilled instructors, these classes are crafted to nurture your child's passion for cooking while equipping them with essential kitchen skills.
In these sessions, young chefs will immerse themselves in a hands-on experience, learning the art of cooking from scratch. From mastering basic techniques to creating flavorful dishes inspired by various cuisines, your child will:

Tiny Tumblers
Welcome to the Tiny Tumblers Youth Gymnastics Program at Wapakoneta Family YMCA! Designed for little ones aged 3 to 6, this engaging 7-week program is the perfect introduction to the exciting world of gymnastics.
Program Overview: Tiny Tumblers is all about sparking joy, building skills, and fostering a love for movement. Our experienced instructors create a welcoming and safe space for children to explore, learn, and make new friends.
Age-Group Classes:
- 3-4 Year Olds: Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Participants will work on stick handling, passing, shooting, teamwork, and sportsmanship—all in a safe, non-contact environment. Perfect for beginners and kids who just love to move, this program keeps everyone active, engaged, and having a blast! Ages 8-11 yrs old.

Little Strikers: Volleyball Skills (Ages 7–10)
Little Strikers is a fun and engaging introduction to volleyball designed just for kids ages 7–10. Participants will learn the fundamentals of volleyball—including serving, passing (bumping), setting, and movement—through age-appropriate drills, skill-building games, and team activities. This program focuses on building coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a positive, encouraging environment. Whether your child is brand new to volleyball or wants to build on basic skills, Little Strikers is a great way to learn, stay active, and have fun on the court!

Homeschool Gym & Swim
Welcome to the Homeschool Gym & Swim program, where homeschooling families can find a comprehensive physical education and socialization solution for their children. This program, designed with homeschoolers ages 5-14 in mind, takes place every Monday afternoon from 11 AM to 1:00 PM, offering an enriching and engaging experience for participants.
Our program is committed to promoting physical fitness while ensuring participants have a blast. Children will engage in a diverse range of physical activities, including group games, sports, and exercises. Swimming is not only an exciting activity but also an essential life skill. Certified lifeguards will be on hand to ensure the safety of all swimmers. At the Wapakoneta Family YMCA, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate fully. Our program is inclusive and accommodating to children of all abilities. If special accommodations are required, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.
