Events For All
Wellness Clinic
Once a month we will
offer these comprehensive Wellness Checks for all
adults. General health checks including blood
pressure, pulse, weight, blood glucose and blood
oxygen levels will be checked. Dr. Keifer from
Tranquility Spinal Care is available to check
your spine and nervous system.

Plan a Party at Your YMCA!
Rent the conference room for your next party!
Rental includes swimming pool and gym usage.
Have a family reunion, overnight, or just have a

Program Center Rental
The YMCA Teen Center is available for rental.
Host your next luncheon, reunion, or reception in
the large and spacious building with plenty of
parking. Call Melanie (send

Recess
Fridays from 6:30 to
8:30pm, half the gym will be open to families only!
Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The YMCA will supply different 'recess' games each
week. One Friday each month will be staffed
with special 'playground attendant' to lead
activities like kickball, dodgeball, beach
volleyball, four squares, hopscotch, and other group
games. Begins Friday March 28th.
Healthy Kids Day!!!
The YMCA wants you
and your family to be healthy. Join us
Friday,
April 11th, from 6:30 - 8:30pm for fun family
memories. Free t-shirts for the first 50 kids.
Activities include dodgeball, family aerobics,
family kickball, and more!

Summer Day Camp
Do you need somewhere for your kids to go for the
summer? The Y is just the place! Enroll
your child in summer day camp. Kids will swim,
do arts and crafts, play games, and learn the value
of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Each week will have a special theme and a field trip
to great places. Camp is from 9:00am to
4:00pm, and runs from June 3 to August 15.
Sibling discounts are available. Early morning
and late afternoon camps available to help
accommodate your work schedule. For more

Kamp Kermit
This is a great place for your preschooler (ages
3-5) to learn social skills and participate in hands
on activities. We will sing, paint, tell
stories, do arts and crafts, and much, much more.
Join Miss Melissa for a great summer!
Registration begins in May. Watch for more

Gym N'Swim
(K-5th Grade)
At the YMCA, we are interested in helping children!
We also believe in fun! This State Licensed
program is designed to do just that. The
Wapakoneta School System will drop your child of at
the Y, and the YMCA will take over from there.
The YMCA will also transport children from
Waynesfield and Cridersville Schools.
Certified staff will supervise your kids in
playtime, homework and swimming. Children will
receive a healthy snack. Contact Melanie (email
her) for more information. This program
runs from after school until 6:00pm.

Adventure Club
When school is closed, you can bring your K - 5th
grader to the YMCA for games, crafts, & swimming.
Please send children with a swim suit and towel,
lunch and quiet time.

Safety Camp Jr.
This abbreviated version of Safety Camp is
geared towards your younger camper.
Campers will be taught important safety
information in a fun setting directed at their
level. Camp is for children entering K-2nd
Grades. Look for more information to
follow. June 12th

Safety Camp
This camp is a collaboration between Community
Safety Organizations such as the Wapakoneta Fire
Department, DARE and the YMCA. Children will
have two jam-packed days of safety and fun.
Camp is June 10-11 for kids leaving 2nd - 5th
grades. Campers will learn about safety in a
fun and exciting atmosphere. Safety Camp is a
combination of learning and playing. Camp
includes a bicycles rodeo, swimming, and lunch both
days. Look for more details.
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm with extended care
available.
Pick-Up Dodgeball
Kids are invited to join us on Tuesday evenings from
6:15 - 7:00pm for K-5th grades and 7:00 - 7:45pm for
6th grade and up to play dodgeball. Rules are
available at the beginning of each game.
Potential Members pay $2 per night. Players
may arrive 15 minutes before start time and must be
picked up immediately following the end of their
session. See Melanie (email

Dodgeball continues thru May 13th. We will
resume play on September 16th.
For Teens
Dodgeball
Tournament (March 29th, 9:00am)
Double elimination, with 2 age brackets according to
registrations. Cost is $2.00 per person*.
Pizza and Pop after the tournament for an additional
$2.00.

Teen Dances
Join the fun at the YMCA Program Center for
our terrific Teen Dances for 6th - 8th
graders. Dances are held from 7-10pm.
Fee: $3.00 at the door.

Evening Basketball
Pick up a game to workout or just for fun and
fellowship. Must be high school age to play.
Tuesday / Thursday from 8:00 - 10:45pm (8:00 -

Evening Volleyball
Open play for fun and learning... a prime time to
brush up on skills and practice for tournaments.

Summer Moon
Festival Bike Tour (Saturday, July 19, 2008)
Beginning to advanced cyclists are sure to love this
fun mid-summer ride featuring flat terrain through
miles of low-traffic countryside. Routes
include 12, 25, 40 and 62 miles. Lunch is
provided. If you are not a cyclist but are
interested in the event, volunteers are needed.
Brochures will be made available in May at the
Courtesy Counter and on our website.
